NorthPortList values accuracy and will correct material factual errors when appropriate. This page explains how corrections are handled, what qualifies for correction review, and how to submit a correction request.

How corrections are handled

If a reader, source, business, or public official identifies a possible factual error, NorthPortList will review the claim. If the information is materially inaccurate, the content will be corrected within a reasonable time. When appropriate, a correction note or update note may be added to the content. Minor grammar, formatting, or style edits may be made without a formal correction note.

What qualifies for correction review

Any claim that appears to be a material factual error may be submitted for review. Examples include:

Opinion, analysis, interpretation, or editorial judgment are not subject to correction requests, though factual claims within those pieces are.
